Chamas

Chamas
Chamas (InterContinental Abu Dhabi Hotel, Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi) – A Brazilian churrascaria steakhouse is the last thing one would find in the Persian Gulf. Those who come across this restaurant and have already been to similar Brazilian steakhouses know the drill: each table has a round green and red disc. If the waiters with the skewers of grilled beef (or chicken or lamb) see the disc is green, they will stop by your table to serve you. Once you’re full and you flip the disc red, the waiters will stop coming. Aside from the generous portions of meats, the self-service salad bar is also extremely well stocked, fresh and varied. That area often has what’s needed to complete a Brazilian meal, rice, feijoada (roasted black beans) and other Brazilian sides like fried plantains.
